DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

What to put inside Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

My sweetie and I are getting married and since we don’t live in the same state as any of my beautiful Bridesmaids, I wanted to create something cute to pop the question!

We’re planning on having six people stand up on each side. I knew I wanted to hand make the contents of the boxes, so I had to take into consideration that I would be making six of whatever I decided to fill the boxes with.

I also didn’t want them to be a fortune to send, (or make) so I found these cute little boxes on amazon and decided to fill them with 3 things for each of the girls.

Keychains

first, I made these adorable key chains. They are a crochet pattern by Christina Smith, you can find her Etsy shop here

I found some little wooden letter beads on Amazon to add some personalization. At first I thought it might be a little corny, but I wanted a creative way to address the recipient of the box once it was opened.

Here’s what I came up with:

Scrunchies

I then decided to add some cute scrunchies, because what girl (with long hair?) doesn’t love a scrunchie! And since I’m a sucker for punny jokes, I included a punny saying to attach to it. I made the scrunchie holder sign and the question sign using Canva (a free designing tool), and then printed on card stock on my computer.

Scrunchie pattern also from Christina Smith

Cup Cozies

Lastly, I decided to include a drink cozy, a little design of my own, made to fit around a solo cup/regular 8 oz glass, and also this to go mug from Starbucks. Which I assume is a pretty standard size of tumblers.

The Bride Tribe patches are from Angie + Britt, they have the cutest tags and patches to elevate your handmade goods! I knew I really wanted to include them somehow, and think they gave the cozies that little extra something. I plan to make more for the Bachelorette party 🙂

Finishing Touches

I gave each box my hand made stamp of approval, and decorated them with various scrap yarn, as well as some pom poms.

There you have it; simple, thoughtful, DIY Bridesmaid proposal boxes on a budget! If you make your own, I’d love to see, tag me on Instagram @fibersbyphoenix
